The Photograph:

When I was Park Photographer in Yosemite Valley, I would take walks with my German Shepherd, Zephyr. Here he is, checking out his surrounding, which in this case, is the snowy meadow between El Cap and Cathedral Cliffs. Taken around 1971. Yes, I know dogs should be on a leash but I gave him a break that morning.

Photographed with a Hasselbad film camera, a normal lens, with black and white film. The negative was scanned with a wet mount system. The image was adjusted in photoshop for contrast, and burned and dodged. The image is then printed on an archival Canon Printer on archival paper.
